Introducing the Yema Marine Nationale CMM.10.
The French manufacture’s answer to the iconic Tudor Pelagos FXD.
So has the “King of Tudor ” been knocked off his throne? here we have Yema’s much cheaper alternative to one of my favourite military time pieces.-the fabulous FXD.My thoughts and reviews…..
of the “King” can be found here.
The Pontiff “elect” ( CMM.10) differs from the O.G (F.X.D) in quite a few key points.
It is steel (as apposed to the FXD’s titanium) has standard strap pins ( where as the Tudor has a “girder like “construction which only allows single pass straps) and is only £1279 on a Bracelet!! ( £80 cheaper for pass through strap) The Tudor currently weighs in at ..wait for it … £3590.

If your diving exploits take you further then the shallow end at the local swimming baths then rest assured both watches have your back. the FXD has a 200 metre W.R rating and the CMM.10 100 more, but both watches will probably never see that depth in their lifetime.
The Yema is slightly smaller at 39mm verses 42 mm for the FXD, it comes with a choice of a bracelet ( sorry Tudor fan boys) or a M.N coloured single piece strap.
The bracelet has a diving extension but looking at the pictures the clasp looks like a cheap pressed steel affair. the Yema has lume but I am betting it is nowhere as good as the “burn your eyeballs out” lume of the Tudor.

Both have precision in house movements the Yema says theirs is ” chronometric precision” where as the Tudor is COSC certified.
I had the the FXD – that ship has sailed ( or submarine in this case) but would i have the YEMA?
Well i probably wouldn’t buy one new, but If one came up on the used market at the right price I could be tempted.
