The Elliot Brown Holton Professional 101-001.

If you know you know.

There are some watch companies that “shout” about their connection with the military and there are some who stay firmly “under the radar”.Elliot Brown is a prime example of the latter ..they share the same grid reference in Poole as the Royal Navy’s SBS (Special Boat Service) but there is no bragging to be had. This is their Holton Professional they, do an automatic version but it is this quartz version that was requested and is issued to certain sections of the British Special Forces, the telltale sign is the “crowfoot” (broad arrow) above 6.00 o’clock that signifies it is British Military property. It is a NATO stock number because this watch is the “Real Deal” The picture below is of my watch, and it gets a lot of wrist time. It is super comfy. bombproof (literally) and has a lume that will burn your eyeballs out. When I last met with Ian Elliot ( one of the co-founders) he reckoned he could win a game of conkers with this watch against anything. ( including the Tudor FXD). It has wonderful little touches like the serration on the top of the bezel that can turn it even with wet gloves, the notches on the rubber strap that stop it from coming out from the keepers, “fixed lugs”(an SF requirement) done in a different way that allows a wider choice of straps. everything about this watch is designed for a purpose, to get the job done.

If you know, you know.
