Just launched: New Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra with glossy black dial.

This possible one and done gets a facelift.

Wait ..did I really say “one and done”? yes ..the Aqua Terra -any Aqua Terra can do everything (within reason). ok so it doesn’t have a bezel, any kind of complication and a lowish WR of 150m but what else would you really need? it looks fab on the bracelet a leather strap or even a NATO.I own a 2015 Aqua Terra Bumblebee (So called as the second hand is striped yellow and black) The Seamaster Aqua Terra (I sometimes forget it is part of the Seamaster family) was first introduced in 2002 to bridge the gap between a sports watch and a dress watch.

The “teak” pattern on the dial was taken off the wooden decks of luxury yachts. James Bond went into action twice wearing one, in “Spectre” and in “No Time To Die” the latter watch used in the film fetched £119,700 at a Christies Auction in 2022. George Clooney and Eddie Redmayne are fans of this versatile piece. So the new facelift model .. available in 41mm 38mm and 34mm gives a modern new look to this classic design. a glossy lacquered finish has now replaced the aforementioned “teak” dial.

The 2 larger dialed models have a minute track absent on the 36mm and a square date window (round on the smallest model) The 41mm and 38mm versions feature triangular indexes and the 36 sailboat shaped. nothing else has changed, the gorgeous butterfly clasped bracelet is still gorgeous, the 15000 Gauss calibre 8900 (41mm) and 8800 for the other 2 are gloriously visible through the exhibition case back
